Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner is in custody for 5 years and 3 months.
Earlier this petitioner approached the Hon’ble Supreme Court wherein Special Leave to Appeal (Crl.) No. 14538 of 2024 was passed. There was a direction to conclude the trial by 31st October, 2025.
Learned advocate for the State submits that the examination-in-chief of the last witness was completed on 4th September, 2025 and since then the accused has been continuing the cross-examination. Presently, the date has been fixed for examination of the accused under Section 313 of Cr.P.C.

Having considered the advanced stage of the proceedings, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail having regard to the fact that there was alleged recovery of 26 Kgs. of Yaba Tablets and 2 Kgs. of Heroin.
Accordingly, CRM (NDPS) 623 of 2026 is dismissed.
All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
