This is an intra court appeal under Clause 12 of the Letters Patent against the order dated October 09, 2025, vide which the learned Single Judge had quashed the detention order bearing No. DMR/PSA/01 of 2025 dated February 21, 2025, passed by the District Magistrate Rajouri, on account of alleged activities of the respondent found prejudicial to the maintenance of public order, and directed the respondent-Authorities to release the detenue forthwith, if not required in any other case(s). 02. The maximum period for which a person can be detained on the ground of maintenance of public order under Public Safety Act is one year. As the Detention Order was passed on February 21, 2025, nothing substantive survives in the appeal. Thus, the same is disposed of as having become infructuous.
