Agrawal (Order on Board) 18.02.2026 1. In compliance of this Court’s order dated 30.01.2026, the respondents have filed additional affidavit and in Para-5 & 6 it has been stated as under: "05. That, after going through the case of the petitioner it has been found by the management that the petitioner is entitled for balance 4% of the interest amount on account of the delayed payment as per the above notification and the sanction for the same has already been granted. The payment of the balance 4% of interest amount has SAIFAN KHAN Digitally signed by SAIFAN KHAN 2 already been initiated and the same is expected to be credited to the account of the petitioner within 02 months time (approx.). 06. That, it is submitted that the said part payment was made on account of the fact that the statutory rate of interest was misconstrued as 6% instead of 10%. This was the reason only 6% interest amount could be paid to the petitioner, however now the respondents have already proceeded with the claim of the petitioner for payment of balance 4% of the interest amount." 2. A careful perusal of the aforesaid paragraph would show that the payment of balance 4% interest as per notification dated 01.10.1997 has already been processed and same will be paid to the petitioner forthwith. At this stage, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the respondent submits that the said payment of amount to the extent of 4% interest as per notification dated 01.10.1997 will be paid to the petitioner within a period of 01 month from today. 3.
