Heard Mr. R.S. Mazumdar, learned senior counsel for the petitioner and learned Special P.P.
The petitioner is an accused in connection with Jamtara Cyber Crime P.S. Case No. 04 of 2026.
Petitioner and other accused persons were apprehended by the police as they were suspected to be involved in cybercrime. So far as the petitioner is concerned, four mobiles and SIM cards were recovered from his possession.
Submission has been advanced by the learned senior counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has got a criminal antecedent which is of the year 2018 relating to cybercrime. Learned senior counsel further submits that the petitioner is in custody since 20.01.2026 and in fact the petitioner is suffering from Cancer. It has further been submitted that no victim has come forward to lodge a case and one of the co-accused, Binod Mandal has already been granted bail in B.A. No.2238 of 2026.
Learned Special P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner.
Regard being had to the submissions advanced by learned senior counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge, Cyber Crime, Jamtara in connection with Jamtara Cyber Crime P.S. Case No. 04 of 2026.
