1. At the very outset, Mr. Dhar, learned advocate appearing for the alleged contemnor submits that an inadvertent error has crept in the cause title of the affidavit of compliance. He seeks to correct the same.
2. Considering the submission made, leave is granted to the contemnor’s advocate-on-record to strike out the first, second and third line of the first page of the cause title of the affidavit of compliance affirmed on 20th February, 2026, in the following terms:- I.A. NO. CAN 2 of 2017 (Old No. CAN 5615 of 2017) WITH
3. In furtherance to the order dated 20th February 2026, the alleged contemnor has filed an affidavit of compliance and would submit that a sum of Rs.95,54,513/- being the settled amount has
2 been made over by way of 6 several demand drafts and one cheque unto and in favour of the petitioner herein.
4. A copy of the memodrandum of settlement has also been enclosed to the affidavit of compliance.
5. Having regard to the above and since the order passed by this Court on 21st May 2025 appears have substantially been complied with, I am of the view that nothing survives in the contempt application. Accordingly, the contempt application is disposed of without any further order and the contempt proceeding is dropped.
6. All parties shall act on the basis of the server copy of this order duly downloaded from this Court’s official website.
