This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in withholding the admitted amount of Rs.49,200/- payable to the petitioner towards the supply of fertilizers and pesticides under the APCBTMP Horticulture Plantation Programme as illegal, arbitrary and consequently direct the respondents to release the said amount to the petitioner. 2. Heard Sri Dasari S.V.V.S.V.Prasad, learned counsel for the petitioner, Sri A.Narasinga Rao, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Finance and Planning and Ms.M.Sandhya Deepthi, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Agriculture for the respondents. 3. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Agriculture would submit that the respondents have addressed a letter vide Rc.No.30/APCBTMP-2014- 15/2026, dated 29.07.2026, to the Pay and Accounts Officer, Works and Accounts Office, Pedda Waltair, Visakhapatnam, requesting immediate release of the pending amount of Rs.49,200/-, if the said amount has not already been released.. 4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Finance would submit that the petition may be disposed of by fixing a timeframe for clearance of the due amount to the petitioner. 4 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that recording the same the petition may be disposed of. 6. Recording the above submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. However, respondent No.2 is directed to clear the bill payable to the petitioner, within a period of two (2) weeks from this day, if the said amount has not already been released. There shall be no order as to costs.
