In this writ petition, though the petitioner (party-in- person) has called in question the order dated 28.11.2025 passed by the IV Additional District and Sessions Judge, Doddaballapur, Bengaluru Rural District in Misc. No.10062/2021, the petitioner now confines his request to - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:16195 WP No. 6825 of 2026 a direction to the Trial Court to dispose of the said miscellaneous petition expeditiously. 2. In this regard, the petitioner submits that he does not wish to press the other prayers made in this writ petition. The said submission is placed on record. 3. The petitioner herein claims to be the absolute owner of land bearing Sy.No.135/5 measuring 1 acre 06 guntas and Sy.No.136/1 measuring 2 acres 14.08 guntas, situated at Naranahalli Village, Doddabelavangala Hobli, Doddaballapur Taluk. The said lands have been acquired by the National Highways Authority of India (for short, “NHAI”). Owing to disputes regarding title and apportionment of compensation, and as rival claims were made for release of the compensation amount, the competent authority under Section 3-H(4) of the National Highways Act, 1956, referred the matter to the IV Additional District and Sessions Judge, Doddaballapur. The matter is pending since the year 2021. It is the specific - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:16195 WP No. 6825 of 2026 allegation of the petitioner that the respondent is prolonging the proceedings on one pretext or another. Hence, the petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of Misc.No.10062/2021. 4. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the Trial Court to dispose of the said miscellaneous petition expeditiously. 5. Accordingly, the following order is passed: ORDER a) The writ petition is disposed of. b) The Trial Court, i.e., IV Addl. District and Sessions Judge, Doddaballapura, Bangalore Rural District, is hereby directed to dispose of Misc.No.10062/2021 in accordance with law and as expeditiously as possible, not later than - 6 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:16195 WP No. 6825 of 2026 three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. c) Parties are directed to co-operate for early disposal of the matter.
