Petitioner has approached this Court seeking the following reliefs: “(a) A writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Respondent no.2 to provide police protection to the petitioner against the threatening and illegal action of respondent no.4 and respondent no.5. (b) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Respondent no.4 and respondent no.5 not to infringe the fundamental right of the petitioner. (c) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Respondent no.2 to decide the representation dated 09.06.2026 of the petitioner sent by speed post to the respondents no.2 by the petitioner containing Annexure no.2 to the writ petition.” 3. On the previous date of hearing, learned State Counsel was directed to get instructions in the matter. Today, learned State Counsel has placed written instructions before this Court. It is submitted that the husband of the UKHC010108392026 2026:UHC:5618 petitioner and respondent nos.4 and 5 belong to the Kureshi Community, who have a meat business. Owing to business rivalry, disputes have arisen between the parties and both sides have, from time to time, levelled allegations against each other. It is further submitted that with a view to maintain public peace and tranquillity in the area and to prevent any breach of peace, action has been taken by the police against both the parties by sending a challan report under Sections 126 and 135 of the B.N.S.S., 2023. 4. The writ petition stands disposed of by taking the written instructions on record.
