By way of this petition, the petitioner has assailed his posting to Kelong in terms of office order dated 06.03.2026, whereby, on his promotion to the post of Inspector, he was posted from Mandi to Keylong.

Learned counsel for the Corporation submitted that reply to the petition stands filed. Though, the same is not on record, but a copy thereof, was made available for the perusal of the Court.
3. The limited ground of challenge to the posting order of the petitioner is that he is to superannuate within one year and at the fagend of his service carrier, his posting from Mandi to

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that as the petitioner has less than one year to retire, the petition be
disposed of by directing the authorities to reconsider the posting of the petitioner from Keylong to either Mandi or some other nearby station, which is convenient to the petitioner. Ordered accordingly.

The petition is disposed of with the direction that the petitioner shall approach the Competent Authority for his adjustment either at Mandi or some nearby station within one week from today and thereafter appropriate order shall be passed thereupon within two weeks as from the date of the receipt of said representation. Till then, the interim protection granted to the petitioner by this Court shall continue.

It is further made clear that the ban imposed by the State on transfers in lieu of the forthcoming Panchayat Elections shall not be an impediment in the way of the authority to pass an appropriate order in this case.
Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, also stand disposed of accordingly.
