ORDER This writ petition is filed for a mandamus directing the respondent to approve the petitioner’s offline application dated 17.04.2025 and issue her with an Eligibility Certificate to enable her to appear for the screening test into (Foreign Medical Graduates Examination) scheduled to be held on 17.01.2026.
2. Upon hearing the Learned Counsel for the petitioner and perusing the material records of the case, the grievance of the petitioner is that when the petitioner applied for the aforementioned examination, her online application did not go through because the portal requires the uploading of the Eligibility Certificate, which was to be issued by the respondent themselves. Even though the petitioner is entitled for the Eligibility Certificate well before the time, the respondent is not issuing the same and therefore the petitioner is before this Court.
3. Pending the writ petition, the Learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent Commission submitted that the Commission is considering the issue of Eligibility Certificate as per the prescribed procedure and the petitioner’s case will also be considered in accordance with the rules. directed the petitioner to submit an offline application. The petitioner has also submitted the offline application.
5. In view of the fact that now the Eligibility Certificate is granted in favour of the petitioner on 19.12.2025, without reference to the non-filing of the online application or without reference to the last date, let the petitioner’s candidature shall be also considered for the examination by duly taking into account her offline application. The present Eligibility Certificate shall also be forwarded by the petitioner to the respondent immediately.
6. The respondent shall act on the web copy of this order without waiting for the certified copy of the order and shall ensure that the petitioner also writes her examination on 17.01.2026. Page Nos.3/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
