It is also submitted that eight witnesses out of the 21 witnesses cited by the prosecution in the charge-sheet has been examined. Having considered the time period which has passed in the meantime as also the period of detention of the present petitioner, without entering into the merits of the case, I direct the learned Special Court that an opportunity be granted to the prosecution to complete rest of the witnesses by 10th July, 2026. In case, the prosecution is unable to complete the evidence of rest of the witnesses with all cooperation being extended by the present petitioner, then, in that case, the learned trial court will release the petitioner on bail after 2 10th July, 2026 on such terms and conditions as it deems fit and proper for ensuring further appearance of the accused before the learned trial court. With the aforesaid observations, CRM(M) 20 of 2026 is disposed of. Report submitted by the State be kept with the record.
