This Writ Petition is filed seeking to declare the inaction of the respondents in paying the retirement benefits to the petitioners, including Encashment of Earned Leave, Surrender of Earned Leave, Gratuity, Pay Fixation Arrears, and other retirement dues as detailed in the table above, as illegal and arbitrary. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Pleader for the respondents. 3. The learned Assistant Government Pleader for the respondents, on instructions, submits that the amount claimed by the petitioners is not in dispute, and that the proposal has already been forwarded to the Finance Department for clearance. It is further submitted that as and when the amount is received from the Finance Department, the same will be released and paid to the petitioners on a priority basis. 4. Considering the submissions made by both the learned counsel and upon perusal of the record, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition directing the respondents to process and pay the retirement benefits to the accounts of the petitioner within a period of three (03) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The respondents shall also consider payment of interest, if the petitioners are entitled, in terms of G.O.Ms.No.59 dated 07.10.2025. There shall be no order as to costs. 5. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
