Jyotsna Rewal Dua , J This writ petition has been filed for the grant of following substantive reliefs: - “i) Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction directing respondent No. 3 to decide forthwith the objection/complaint submitted by the petitioner regarding the disqualification incurred by respondent No. 4 under Section 122(1)(c) of the H.P. Panchayati Raj Act, 1994, strictly in accordance with law and prior to the conduct of election scheduled on 30.05.2026; 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? ii) Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction quashing and setting aside the illegal, arbitrary and malafide action/inaction of respondent No. 3 whereby respondent No. 4 has been permitted to contest and participate in the election process despite having incurred disqualification under the provisions of the H.P. Panchayati Raj Act, 1994; iii) Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction restraining respondent No. 4 from contesting and/or further participating in the election process till the final adjudication of the objection/disqualification proceedings by the competent authority.” 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the instant petition as the petitioner intends to avail appropriate remedy as may be available to him, in law, at an appropriate stage for the redressal for his grievances.
