This is an application filed under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023, praying for Page No.# 2/2 grant of pre-arrest bail to the accused-applicant in connection with a representation dated 17.03.2026 submitted before the Superintendent of Police, Barpeta, Assam, though the petitioner does not have details of any police case registered against him. In view of the aforesaid, a report was called for from Kalgachia P.S., Barpeta. Pursuant thereto, a report addressed to the Public Prosecutor, Assam, was produced before this Court and the same is taken on record marking ‘X’. The aforesaid report dated 09.06.2026, reveals that no case has been registered against the accused-applicant as of that date.
