JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking for a writ of mandamus to direct respondent Nos.2 and 3 to expedite the decision on the representations dated 27.09.2023 submitted vide Annexures ‘A’ and ‘B’. 2. Vide Annexures ‘A’ and ‘B’, the petitioner contends that his father i.e., Late Thimma S/o Late Devarahatti Thimmaiah @ Thimma Devarahatti @ Thimmgowda and one Sri.Raghuvaiah Late Devarahatti Thimmaiah @ Thimma Devarahatti @ Thimmegowda, had lost lands in - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:9035 WP No. 36022 of 2025 Sy.No.7/2, 9/1, 9/4, 36/1 and 36/3, totally measuring 9 Acres 14 Guntas, all situated at Kenkere village, due to submergence and the petitioner is required to be granted an alternative land measuring 9 Acres 14 Guntas. It is also alleged that the petitioner is entitled to be granted an alternative land in the same manner as has been granted to the others. 3. In the considered opinion of this court, since the petitioner is claiming that his family had lost 9 Acres 14 Guntas of lands and similarly placed persons were granted with alternative lands, the respondents are duty bound to consider the claim of the petitioner in accordance with law. 4. The petitioner is also permitted to file an additional representation reiterating the request with supporting documents, if any. On such representation being made, respondent Nos.2 and 3 shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:9035 WP No. 36022 of 2025 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. 5.
