Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 06.01.2020 in connection with Gunla P.S. Case No.04 of 2020 (G.R. Case No.199 of 2020 and S.T. No.120 of 2021) for the offence registered under Section 302 of the IPC and the case is pending in the court of learned Addl. Sessions Judge-II, Gumla. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that although there is allegation against the petitioner that he has murdered his mother, but there is no cogent material against him. 4. Learned counsel for the opposite party-State has opposed the prayer and has submitted that as per the impugned order dated 20.02.2026, only two witnesses are remained to be examined. 5. After hearing the learned counsel for the parties and considering the direct allegation against the petitioner, this court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner above named on bail. Accordingly, prayer for bail of the petitioner above named is rejected. 6. However, the State is directed to ensure that remaining witnesses be examined at the earliest. 2026:JHHC:11557 7.
