(3) According to petitioner, he is Tehri Dam affected person, as his agricultural land was acquired for construction of Tehri Dam. In this writ petition, petitioner contends that he has made a representation to the Director, Rehabilitation stating that less than 50 per cent of his holding was acquired for Tehri Dam Project. (4) Learned State Counsel submits that he has no objection if Director, Rehabilitation is asked to take decision in the matter. (5) Writ petitioners are, accordingly, disposed of with a direction to Director, Rehabilitation to examine petitioners’ claim, strictly as per rehabilitation policy, and take decision, as per law, within eight months from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order.
