Petitioner’s case is that he is holder of Arms License with all India validity but the validity thereof lapsed on 02.06.2024. Petitioner applied for renewal of Arms License in accordance with the Arms Act, 1959. The District Magistrate, Kullu recommended the case of the petitioner for renewal of Arms Licence with all India area validity vide communication dated March, 2026 (Annexure P-2) to respondent No.1- the Additional Chief Secretary 1Whether reporters of print and electronic media may be allowed to see the order? Yes. 2 (Home), Government of Himachal Pradesh. Petitioner’s grievance is that no further action has been taken on the aforesaid office letter. 3. Keeping in view the pleadings as also, Annexure P-2 dated Nil, March, 2026 and provisions of the Arms Act, this writ petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.1/Competent Authority to take action in the application of the petitioner seeking renewal of his Arms Licence in accordance with law within six weeks from today. Copy of decision be communicated to the petitioner. The writ petition stands disposed of in the above terms, so also the pending miscellaneous application(s), if any.
