THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE BATTU DEVANAND CIVIL REVISION PETITION No.959 of 2026
ORDER: -
The Civil Revision Petition is filed against the order dated 27.02.2026 in Transfer Original Petition No.143 of 2025 on the file of the Court of the Principal District Judge, East Godavari District at Rajamahendravaram. 2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner. 3. The respondent filed a suit in O.P.No.35 of 2024 on the file of the Civil Judge's Court (Senior Division), Kothapeta, seeking divorce from his wife, who is the petitioner herein. 4. The petitioner filed transfer petition seeking to transfer the said O.P. to the Court of Civil Judge's Court, Senior Division, Amalapuram. 5. Having considered the submissions of both sides, the Principal District Judge, East Godavari District has dismissed the transfer petition, holding that there are no merits in the petition. 6.
On perusal of the impugned order in the Civil Revision Petition, this Court is satisfied that the reasons stated by the petitioner for transfer are not reasonable. The distance between Kothapeta and Amalapuram is also not more than 20 Kilometers. There is no material placed before this Court to consider the petitioner’s request. 4
7. In view of the same, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the reasoned order passed by the Principal District Judge, East Godavari District. 8. Accordingly, the Civil Revision petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. _________________________ JUSTICE BATTU DEVANAND
