Affidavit of service, as filed, be kept with the record. 2. In spite of service, the School Authority is not represented. 3. The petitioner’s application for transfer made sometime in the year 2022 is still pending before the concerned District Inspector of Schools (D.I.). 4. The concerned D.I. is directed to dispose of the application without withholding his recommendation on the ground of the fact that the petitioner is the single teacher in his subject, as this issue has been conclusively decided by this Hon’ble Court in MAT 1218 of 2024 (Gokul Chandra Mallick Vs. State of West Bengal & Ors.) and in FMA 995 of 2025 (Rupak Dhua Vs. State of West Bengal & Ors.). 5. The concerned D.I. will dispose of the matter by 30.04.2026 and expedite the onward progression of the matter to the Commission along with its recommendation, if the petitioner is otherwise eligible, in accordance with law. 6. The suspension of ‘Utsashree Portal’ will not be an impediment for the concerned authority to consider the application for transfer of the petitioner.
