The present writ petition has been filed directing the 2nd respondent, Tahsildar Chengalpattu Taluk, to earmark the encroached portion of 20 feet public road in Survey No.125/1 Sri Ganapathy Nagar Colony Extn 5, Panangottur Village, Chengalpattu Taluk and direct the 3rd respondent Commissioner, Maraimalai Nagar Municipality to remove the encroachment of 20 feet public road encroached by the 4th respondent in Survey No.125/1, as per the survey report of the 2nd respondent Tahsildar, Chengalpattu Taluk issued to 3rd respondent on 20.10.2022. 2. Learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that after filing of the writ petition they have conducted field survey and had found out certain encroachments. If that be the case, it is appropriate for the authorities to proceed with the enforcement action to remove the encroachments by following due process of law. The 3rd respondent has to take appropriate enforcement action if the encroachments have already been identified.
