GP FOR SCHOOL EDUCATION The Court made the following: 3 COMMON ORDER:- Heard Sri K.Jyothi Prasad, learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Government Pleader for School Education appearing for the respondents. 2. Since the issue raised in all the writ petitions is one and the same, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of all these writ petitions by way of a common order, taking W.P.No.18981 of 2026 as lead petition. 3. Vide the impugned proceedings, the permission sought by the petitioner institutions for commencement of Classes/Admission of Students for the Grades VIII to X has been rejected by the 2nd respondent on the ground that the petitioner institutions are lacking infrastructural facilities to upgrade their existing schools to High Schools. 4. The petitioner institutions have filed an additional affidavit stating that the petitioner institutions have taken all required measures for upgradation of the schools and the civil construction of the buildings meant for conducting of classes is underway and would be completed within five (5) weeks. Having regard to the same, the petitioner institutions sought a direction to the respondents to grant permission for opening of Classes VIII to X. 5. Having regard to the contentions advanced and in the light of the additional affidavit of the petitioner institutions dated 24.07.2026, the impugned proceedings are set aside, the matter is remanded to the 4 appropriate authority with a direction to grant permission/affiliation to the petitioner institutions for the academic year 2026-27 for the Grades VIII to X in terms of the additional affidavit of the petitioner institutions dated 24.07.2026, and also the respondents are at liberty to impose any other conditions as are necessary in compliance with the conditions envisaged under G.O.Ms.No.1, Education Department, dated 01.01.1994. 6. With the above directions, the writ petitions are disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
