Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the de facto complainant submits that the petitioners’ application for anticipatory bail had earlier been rejected by this Court on 12.09.2025 in CRM (A) 2913 of 2025. By suppressing this, the present application has been filed. In fact, one of the petitioners namely, Karttik Manna has filed another application for anticipatory bail in respect of the same case being CRM (A) 697 of 2026. It is indeed very surprising that the Investigating Agency has not been able to apprehend the petitioners and even after rejection of anticipatory bail by this Court, the petitioners are moving one application for anticipatory bail after another without disclosing the rejection of the earlier application for anticipatory bail. 2 Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the de facto complainant files a copy of the complaint filed by the alleged victim that the petitioners and other accused had been threatening the victim all this long. The anticipatory bail application is dismissed as not maintainable. For the above referred non-disclosure, each of the present petitioners shall pay a cost of Rs. 10,000/- to the State Legal Services Authorities within fortnight from this date. Within a week thereafter, the petitioners shall file a receipt for such payment before the Registrar General, High Court at Calcutta. Let a copy of this order be sent to the Superintendent of Police, Paschim Medinipur for necessary action.
