CORAM : THE CHIEF JUSTICE DHIRAJ SINGH THAKUR SRI JUSTICE CHALLA GUNARANJAN DATE : 20th April 2026 P C : The present Writ Appeal has been preferred against the interim order dated 10.03.2026 passed in I.A.No.1 of 2025 in Writ Petition No.29643 of 2025. 2. The challenge in the petition was to the proceedings dated 15.10.2025 issued by respondent No.2 and notifying the same in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette on 23.10.2025. The petitioner, as an interim measure, had sought suspension of the order impugned in the writ petition. 3. The learned single Judge, by virtue of the order dated 10.03.2026, directed the A. P. State Wakf Board in the first instance to address the 2 complaint dated 02.02.2026 filed under Section 70, as contemplated under Section 71 of the Unified Waqf Management, Empowerment, Efficiency and Development Act, 1995, within a period of four weeks. 4. Learned Senior Counsel Mr. P. Veera Reddy appearing for Sri Shaik Khaja Basha, learned Standing Counsel for the A.P. State Wakf Board, states that in terms of the directions issued by the learned single Judge, the Board is supposed to be meeting tomorrow i.e., on 21.04.2026 to look into the complaint filed by the petitioner. 5. We are of the opinion that no interference is warranted at this stage as it would affect the proceedings which are still pending before the learned single Judge on merits. For all we know, the Board may consider the complaint so filed by the petitioner and the entire exercise which the appellant expects us to conduct in these proceedings may be not required at all. 6. Be that as it may, we dispose of this appeal with an observation that the Board, after considering the complaint, shall give its final orders not later than one week from today. No order as to costs.
