UKHC010110022026 2026:UHC:5402 SL. No. Date Office Notes, reports, orders or proceedings or directions and Registrar’s order with Signatures COURT’S OR JUDGE’S ORDERS WPMS/1956/2026 Gurdev Singh --Petitioner Versus State Of Uttarakhand --Respondent Hon’ble Manoj Kumar Tiwari, J. Mt. Tarun Prakash Singh Takuli, Advocate for the petitioners. Mr. S.K. Nailwal, Standing Counsel for the State. 2. Consolidation proceedings were transferred from Consolidation Officer, Bazpur to Consolidation Officer, Kichha on an application moved by respondent No. 4. 3. Since petitioner was unhappy with the order of transfer, therefore he also moved an application seeking transfer of the proceedings from Consolidation Officer, Khatima to any other Consolidation Officer within the State. 4. The said application was dismissed for non prosecution by Director, Consolidation vide order dated 12.05.2026. Petitioner thereafter moved an application seeking UKHC010110022026 2026:UHC:5402 restoration of the said order. His restoration application has also been rejected. 5. In this petition, petitioner has challenged the aforesaid two orders passed by Director, Consolidation. 6. This Court is not inclined to interfere in the matter. 7. The transfer application appears to have been filed by petitioner to assuage his sentiments which were hurt by transfer of the proceedings from Bazpur to Kichha. 8. Transfer cannot be sought merely because sentiments of the party are hurt by some order. In the absence of valid reasons for seeking transfer, the Director, Consolidation was justified in rejecting the request made by petitioner for transfer of the proceedings. 9. Thus there is no scope for interference in the matter. Writ petition fails and is dismissed. (Manoj Kumar Tiwari, J.) 06.07.2026 Mahinder/
