Learned counsel for respondents submits that during pendency of this contempt petition, petitioner was promoted vide order dated 30.10.2025. Order in the writ petition is with regard to consideration of the case of petitioner for promotion in terms of order passed by the Division Bench in Writ Appeal No.108 of 2016. As petitioner has already been promoted, the respondents authorities have complied with the order passed by this Court in the writ petition. He however, submits that consequential notional benefit has not been extended to petitioner. 3. In view of above submission made by learned counsel for parties, as the order passed in the writ petition has been complied, I am satisfied that respondents have complied with the directive issued by this Court. 4. Accordingly, the contempt proceeding initiated against respondents is dropped. Contempt petition is closed. Notice issued to respondents stands discharged. 5.
