Respondent(s) NIRMALA RAO 2 For Petitioner : Mr. Rishi Sahu, Advocate For Respondents : Mr. Pankaj Agrawal, Advocate Hon’ble Shri Justice Rakesh Mohan Pandey Judgment On Board 23.4.2026 1) By way of this petition, petitioner has sought following reliefs:- “10.1 That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue a suitable writ (s), order (s), direction (s), by directing the Respondent Authorities to make a necessary correction of date of birth as 09/01/1968, in the service record (Form-B), maintained by the respondent authorities, of your petitioner. 10.2 That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to call the entire records from the respondents authorities for its kind perusal. 10.3 Any other relief, which may be suitable in the facts and circumstances of the case, may also be granted.” 2) Learned counsel for the petitioner would contend that the petitioner was appointed with the respondents in SECL on 1.4.1987. He would submit that the date of birth of the petitioner is 9.1.1968 but in the service record, it was wrongly entered as 12.4.1987. He would submit that on 20.3.2019 and 14.2.2022, applications were moved by the petitioner for correction of date of birth but no action was taken, and the petitioner retired from service on 30.4.2022. He would submit that the claim of the petitioner for correction of date of birth is based on School Admission Register. He prays that a direction may be issued to 3 the respondent authorities to consider the pending representations of the petitioner. 3) On the other hand, learned counsel appearing for the respondents would oppose. He would submit that the representations were moved by the petitioner at the fag end of his service. He would submit that the petition deserves to be dismissed. 4) I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the documents placed on record. 5) Taking into consideration the fact that the representations made by the petitioner prior to his date of retirement are still pending for consideration, therefore, at this juncture, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent authorities to decide the pending representations of the petitioner dated 20.3.2019 & 14.2.2022 within a period of 120 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6) With the aforesaid observation(s), this petition is disposed of.
