Heard Mr. Mayur Khandelwal, learned counsel for the petitioners through video conferencing. Also heard Mr. Shailendra Sharma, learned Panel Lawyer, appearing for the State. 2. The present petition has been filed by the petitioner with the following prayer: “It is therefore prayed that this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to quash the First Information Report bearing Crime No. 82 of 2025 dated 27.02.2025 registered at Police Station City Kotwali, Kondagaon, District Kondagaon, for alleged offence under Section 318 of the Bharaitya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and all consequential proceedings arising therrefrom in the larger interest of justice.” 3. Upon perusal of the present petition, it transpires that the same is suffering from defects/defaults as pointed out by the Registry of this Court. The petition was filed on 23.03.2026, and despite the lapse of considerable time, the said defects have not been cured, which reflects that the petitioners have pursued the petition in a casual manner. Learned counsel for the petitioners, therefore, seeks permission to withdraw the present petition with liberty to file a fresh petition. 3 4. Learned State counsel has no objection to the same. 5. In view of the submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioners, the present petition is dismissed as withdrawn, with liberty to file a fresh petition, subject to deposit of costs of Rs. 2,000/- for having filed the petition in a casual manner and for not removing the defects till date, thereby wasting the valuable time of the Court. The said amount shall be deposited by the petitioners before the Registry of this Court, and the receipt thereof shall be produced at the time of filing the fresh petition, if any. The amount so deposited shall be transmitted to the Government Specialized Adoption Agency, Balod (C.G.). 6.
