Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the 1st respondent and Ms.S.R.Sumathy, learned Standing Counsel, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 2 and 3. 3. The only recourse available to the petitioner to implement the aforesaid award passed under the National Highways Act, 1956 is to file an Execution Petition as per the provisions of Section 36 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. Instead of filing the Execution Petition, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition. 4. When this Court expressed its view that the petitioner will have to approach the Execution Court for executing the arbitration award dated Page No.2 of 4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.No.9086 of 2026 24.05.2025, the learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, would now submit that the petitioner may be granted liberty to approach the Executing Court. 5. In view of the same, this Writ Petition is disposed of by granting liberty to the petitioner to execute the arbitration award dated 24.05.2025, in accordance with the provisions of Section 36 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, before the appropriate Executing Court.
