Since common questions of law and fact are involved in these petitions, therefore, they are being heard and decided together. However, for the sake of brevity and convenience, facts of WPMS No. 1870 of 2026 alone are being considered and discussed. 5. Petitioner claims to be a construction worker registered with Uttarakhand Building and other Construction Workers Welfare Board. He submits that he is entitled to assistance for marriage of daughter as per Rule 282 of Uttarakhand Building and other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2005, however, such assistance has not been given to him, even though he had applied therefor on UKHC010105602026 2026:UHC:5359 28.06.2023. 6. By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought a direction to the respondents to consider his case for releasing rupees one lacs as assistance under Rule 282 of Uttarakhand Building and other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2005. 7. Mr. Rahul Consul, learned counsel appearing for the Board submits that petitioner may be permitted to make representation and the competent authority will take decision thereupon as per law. 8. Learned State Counsel, however, submits that as per Rule 282 of the aforesaid Rules, a sum of rupees fifty one thousand alone is to be paid as assistance for marriage. 9. Be that as it may, since petitioners’ application(s) are pending consideration, therefore, the writ petitions are disposed of with a direction to the Secretary of the Board to take decision thereupon, as per law, within four weeks from date of presentation of certified copy of this order.
