Saikia, learned counsel for the petitioner. Having considered the matter as regards the alleged willful disobedience of the order of this Court dated 20.01.2026, Mr. N. Das, learned State Counsel, was earlier requested to obtain necessary instructions. In deference to the said request, Mr. N. Das, learned State Counsel, has placed the copy of the order dated 27.05.2026, passed by the Circle Officer, Barpeta Revenue Circle, by which the case of the petitioner has been rejected for non-submission of mandatory up-to-date Land Revenue Payment Receipt (Khajana Receipt) as required under the applicable notification regulating the procedure of Composite Land Transfer Services. In view of the above, this Court finds that the direction contained in the order dated 20.01.2026 has been duly complied with. Thus, there is no willful disobedience of the order of this Court. Accordingly, the contempt petition stands closed. Needless to observe that the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the order dated 27.05.2026 in accordance with law, if so advised.
