ORDER 08/06/2026 By filing the instant application the appellant has prayed for stay of the impugned
Judgment and award dated 24.01.2019 passed by the learned MACT, Barpeta in MAC Case No.53/2018 pending disposal with the connected Appeal.
2. Heard learned counsel for the appellant, Ms. R.D. Mozumdar.
3. The appellant has submitted that the appeal has been preferred against the impugned
Judgment and award dated 24.01.2019 and the same has been admitted for hearing. The appellant has taken good grounds for appeal and the appeal is likely to succeed, and therefore, in the interest of justice, the impugned Judgment and award may be stayed by this Court.

Learned counsel, Mr. N. Ahmed is resent for the respondent No.1/claimant.
5. The impugned Judgment and order dated 24.01.2019 is accordingly suspended during the pendency of the connected MAC Appeal No. 216/2026 subject to the condition that the appellant shall deposit 50% of the awarded amount before the Registry of this Court within 6
