Petitioners, through the medium of this petition, have alleged that the private respondents had been causing threats to the life and property of the petitioners, with regard to some dispute over a piece of land measuring 10 Kanals and 8.5 Marlas, falling under Khasra No. 29, situated at Green Avenue Sector-1, Land-2, Peerbagh, Hyderpora, Srinagar, along with an approach pathway leading to the said property, regarding which, the parties have been litigating before the Civil Courts, particularly before the Court of learned Municipal Magistrate, Srinagar, where, some interim directions have also been passed and which are not being complied with by the private respondents, as such, the petitioners have prayed that the directions be passed to the police to provide protection to the petitioners and their family members from unlawful harassment and intimidation by the private respondents. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners had already made a representation to the SSP Budgam on 02.04.2026, seeking immediate police protection for safeguarding life and property of the petitioners & their family members and for ensuring compliance of the court orders. 3. In view of the pleadings, the submissions urged at the Bar and the limited controversy, the present petition is disposed of at this motion stage, with a direction to the SSP Budgam, to examine the matter and provide police protection, if needed, to the petitioners. 4.
