Also Page No.# 2/2 heard Mr. K K Parasar, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the state of Assam. 2. This is an application under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023, whereby the petitioners, namely, 1. Bhuban Saikia and 2. Bhanu Saikia have prayed for releasing them on bail after they were arrested in connection with Tezpur P.S. Case No.204/2026. 3. The daughter-in-law of the petitioners had consumed poison and after 18 days she died in the hospital. There is an allegation that the husband of the deceased and the present petitioner No.2 Bhanu Saikia had physically and mentally subjected the deceased to cruelty. 4. Mr. Nawaz has submitted that the deceased was taken to the hospital and her hospital expenses were borne by the present petitioners. 5. I have considered the submissions made by the learned counsels of both sides. 6. The petitioners are in custody for the last 46 days. 7. Considering the period of detention undergone by the petitioners in custody and under the given circumstances, the bail application of the petitioners is allowed. 8. It is hereby directed that the petitioners, namely, 1. Bhuban Saikia and 2. Bhanu Saikia, who were arrested in connection with Tezpur P.S. Case No. 204/2026, shall be released on bail of ₹25,000/- each with sureties of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sonitpur, Tezpur, Assam. 9.
