2. It is the contention of the petitioner that she has filed an application in Form No.53 on 28.12.1998 seeking regularisation of unauthorised occupation of 2 acres of land in Survey No.37 of Devaganahalli Village, Jangamakote Hobli, Shidlaghatta Taluk, Chikkaballapura District and the said application was rejected by the Committee. The petitioner filed an appeal before the Assistant Commissioner challenging the decision of the Committee in proceedings bearing No.LND.RA.No.51/2007-08. The Assistant Commissioner passed an order on 28.09.2012 partly allowing the appeal filed by the petitioner and remanding the matter back to the Committee for reconsideration in the light of the observations made therein. However, till date the application has not been reconsidered.
Therefore, the prayer in the writ petition is to issue a writ of mandamus directing respondent No.3-Tahsildar, Shidlaghatta Taluk and respondent No.4-Committee to reconsider the application in the light of the observations made in the order passed by the Assistant Commissioner and pass necessary orders within a specified time. 3.
