Petitioners alleges that the property of the petitioner has been utilised for the purpose of construction of a fishing harbour without initiating any proceeding for acquisition and requisition. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners draws the attention of the Court to the letter dated March 6, 2026 addressed to the Managing Director, State Fisheries Development Corporation Limited requesting the said authority to take appropriate action. Learned advocate appearing for the Corporation submits that the decision on the representation submitted by the petitioners shall be communicated
2 to the petitioner within the time limit as may be fixed by this Court. Heard Mr. Galib, learned advocate appearing for the State on such issue. In the light of the submission made by the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties and considering the fact that the Deputy Secretary, Government of West Bengal has forwarded the representation to the Managing Director, State Fisheries Development Corporation Limited, this Court directs the Managing Director, State Fisheries Development Corporation Limited, being the 8th respondent, to consider the representation of the petitioner dated February 19, 2026 and dispose of the same by passing a reasoned order after affording an opportunity to the authorized representative of the petitioners and to communicate the reasoned order to such authorized representative as expeditiously as possible but positively within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a server copy of this order along with a copy of the representation dated February 19, 2026.
