2026:JHHC:12826 IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B. A. No. 1490 of 2026 Rohit Kumar Ram @ Rohit Kumar ….. Petitioner Versus The State of Jharkhand ….. Opposite Party ----- CORAM HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE RAJESH SHANKAR ----- For the Petitioner: Mr. Anup Kr. Agrawal, Advocate For the State: Mr. Achinto Sen, A.P.P ----- 03/30.04.2026 Heard learned counsel for the parties. 2. The petitioner is an accused in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 302/201/34 IPC. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner’s bail applications were earlier rejected twice by a Bench of this Court. By way of present bail application, the petitioner has renewed his prayer for bail primarily for the reason that he is in judicial custody in connection with the present case since 20.10.2023 and that there is no positive progress in the trial. 4. Learned A.P.P while opposing the petitioner’s prayer for bail, submits that since the petitioner’s bail applications were earlier rejected twice on merit, he may not be given the privilege of regular bail. 5. The status report submitted by the concerned Trial Court suggests that out of six witnesses, three have already been examined. Summons have also been issued to the remaining witnesses for their examination. 6. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering that the petitioners’ bail applications were earlier rejected twice on merit and that the trial of the case is in advance stage, I am not inclined to enlarger him on bail in connection with Thakurgangti P.S. Case No. 60/2023. 7. The prayer for bail of the above named petitioner is accordingly rejected. Satish/- (RAJESH SHANKAR, J)
