6. Having considered the rival submissions, this Court is of the view that in a matrimonial proceeding, the convenience of the wife, particularly when she is stated to be having the custody and care of a minor child of tender age, deserved primacy. The respondent’s objection, that he would have to travel, by itself is not a sufficient ground to deny transfer when the balance of convenience otherwise warrants it. 7. Accordingly, Tr.C.M.P. No.682 of 2025 is allowed. FC.O.P. No.118 of 2025 on the file of the Family Court, Vellore, is withdrawn and transferred to the file of the Family Court, Chennai. The Family Court, Vellore, shall transmit the entire records to the Family Court, Chennai, within three (3) weeks from the date of receipt of this order and the Family Court, Chennai shall dispose of the matter in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, uninfluenced by any observations made in this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
