For Petitioner(s): No representation For Respondent(s): Mr.P.Balathandayutham, SGP for R1-2 Mr.K.Purushothaman, SC for TNEB for R3-6 ORDER The petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioner’s representation dated 10.02.2026 on merits and consequently direct the respondents to permit the petitioner to rejoin duty forthwith in the services in TANGEDCO/ TANTRANSCO to grant continuity of service and to pay all backwages, salary arrears and attendant monetary and service benefits from 29.11.2023 till the date of reinstatement. 2. It is the case of the petitioner that he was appointed in the services of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board on 13.05.2008. While so, on 29.11.2022, due to severe health complications, he was incapable of attending duty and subsequently, on 05.12.2023, he submitted a medical leave application seeking https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 11927 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 5 medical leave as he got admitted in hospital from 20.12.2023 to 25.12.2023, for which, he submitted the discharge summary along with the other supporting medical documents. Later, when his health conditions improved, the petitioner approached the 6th respondent on 09.01.2024 to rejoin duty, which was orally denied without any written orders. It is also submitted by the petitioner that from 29.11.2022 to till date, his salary was not paid. 3. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner made several representations to the respondents. Due to inaction of the respondents to the same, thereafter, the petitioner made a detailed representation dated 10.02.2026 before the respondents, for which, there is no response till date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court. 4. Heard the learned counsel for the respondents and perused the materials available on record. 5. Considering the relief now sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.02.2026, on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 11927 of 2026 __________ Page4 of 5 Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of.
