Petitioner has challenged order dated 25.05.2026 passed by Director, Consolidation in Restoration Application No. 37 of 2025-26. He has also challenged order dated 12.05.2026 passed by Director, Consolidation, whereby his transfer application was dismissed for non prosecution. 3. It transpires that proceedings under Consolidation of Holdings Act were transferred from Court of Consolidation Officer, Bazpur to Consolidation Officer, Kichha by Settlement Officer, Consolidation, Rudrapur, Udham Singh Nagar vide order dated 28.06.2023 on the application filed by respondent Nos. 4 to 19. 4. Petitioner was not happy with transfer of UKHC010110752026 2026:UHC:5224 proceedings, therefore he filed another application before the Director, Consolidation seeking transfer of proceedings from Consolidation Officer, Kichha to a Consolidation Officer in any other District. Said application filed by petitioner was rejected due to non-prosecution by Director, Consolidation vide order dated 12.05.2026. Petitioner thereafter filed a restoration application, which too was dismissed on 25.05.2026. Thus feeling aggrieved petitioner approached this Court. 5. This Court is not inclined to interfere in the matter. 6. In their application seeking transfer, respondent Nos. 4 to 19 had expressed their apprehension that they will not get justice from Consolidation Officer, Bazpur. Learned Settlement Officer, Consolidation although disbelieved the said apprehension; however, he transferred the proceedings to Consolidation Officer, Kichha by observing that justice should not only be done but should also seem to be done and since there was some apprehension in the mind of respondent Nos. 4 to 19, therefore it would be just and proper that UKHC010110752026 2026:UHC:5224 the proceedings are transferred to some other Consolidation Officer. 7. Learned State Counsel submits that there was no valid reason indicated by petitioner in his application seeking transfer of the proceedings from Kichha to some other District. He submits that petitioner appears to have moved said application with a view to assuage his sentiments, which were hurt by order of transfer passed by Settlement Officer, Consolidation. 8. This Court finds substance in the said contention. 9. In the transfer application filed by petitioner before Director, Consolidation, there is no valid ground indicated, why petitioner was seeking transfer. Thus rejection of petitioner’s transfer application by Director, Consolidation does not suffer from any infirmity. 10. Thus there is no scope for interference in the matter. Writ petition fails and is dismissed.
