CRIMINAL REVISION CASE No. 699 OF 2015
ORDER:
This Criminal Revision Case is filed aggrieved by the judgment dated 20.03.2015 passed in Crl.A. No.78 of 2012 by the learned VI Additional District and Sessions Judge, SPSR Nellore District whereunder confirmed the
judgment and sentence dated 09.04.2012 passed in CC. No.493 of 2009 by the learned II Additional Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Nellore.

Learned counsel for the revision petitioner submitted that the matrimonial disputes between the petitioner and his wife are settled before the Lok Adalat vide award dated 20.09.2022 and to that effect copy of award is submitted on even date.

As seen from the Lok Adalat award dated 20.09.2022, revision petitioner and his wife settled their disputes and accordingly, the revision petitioner paid an amount of Rs.2,50,000/- to his wife, who is de facto complainant in this case towards full and final settlement of her claims and thereby, the respondent/ de facto complainant relinquished all her rights and claims against the property of the accused herein and reported no objection for allowing the Criminal Revision Case by recording the said compromise.
4. Recorded the submissions and photo copy of Lok adalat award.
5. In the result, this Criminal Revision Case is allowed and the
judgment dated 20.03.2015 in Crl.A. No.78 of 2012 passed by the learned VI

Additional District Judge, Nellore is be and hereby set-aside. Accordingly, the revision petitioner/ accused No.1 is acquitted of the offence under Section 498-A IPC. As a sequel thereto, pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. _____________________ SUNITHA GANDHAM, J
