She was transferred from Government Post Graduate College, Uttarkashi to Government Degree College, Purola, vide order dated 23.6.2023. Feeling aggrieved by her transfer, petitioner filed this writ petition challenging the transfer order. Coordinate Bench passed interim order in favour of petitioner on 11.7.2023, on the strength of which petitioner continued to serve at Uttarkashi. (3) Learned State Counsel submits that in 2023, when the writ petition was filed, petitioner was 63 years of age. He submits that three years have gone by after filing of the writ petition and petitioner must have crossed 66 years of age, while age of retirement in respect of teachers serving in Degree College is 65 years. He thus submits that petitioner must have retired by now, therefore no useful purpose would be served by keeping the writ petition pending. Since petitioner has attained the age of superannuation, therefore, relief as claimed in the writ petition do not survive after her retirement. Writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed.
