Prayer of the petitioner for release of interest on account of delayed payment of pension and other pensionary benefits is pending consideration before the Commissioner of School Education and the Director of Pension, Provident Fund and Group Insurance. 2. It appears that the prayer of the petitioner has not been served upon the District Inspector of Schools (Secondary Education), North 24-Parganas, the pension sanctioning authority. 3. In view of the above, liberty is granted to the petitioner to serve the representation seeking interest upon the District Inspector of Schools (Secondary Education), North 24-Parganas, being the respondent no.4. 4. On receipt of the said representation, the District Inspector of Schools (Secondary Education), North 24-Parganas shall take steps to consider the 2 same in accordance with law at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of filing of the representation. 5. If the prayer of the petitioner is allowed, then necessary consequential steps shall be taken by the authority without any further delay. 6. The writ petition stands disposed of. 7.
