The present criminal writ petition has been filed by the petitioner with the following prayers: “It is, therefore, prayed that this Petition may kindly be accepted and allowed and by an appropriate order or direction, the petitioner may kindly be set at liberty after giving the benefit of remission. Any other appropriate order or direction, which this Hon’ble Court may deem just and proper in the fats of the present case, may also be passed in favour of the petitioner.” 2. Mr. S.L. Kumawat, learned counsel for the petitioner, at the very outset, submits that an application dated 16.03.2026 (Annexure-5) has been filed by the petitioner before the [2026:RJ-JP:20376] (2 of 2) [CRLW-743/2026] respondent No.2 – Superintendent, Central Jail, Jaipur, seeking remission of her sentence, which she is serving in pursuance of the order dated 14.03.2024 passed by a Co-ordinate Bench of this Court in S.B. Criminal Appeal No.84/1993 titled as Smt. Chapali @ Champa & Anr. Versus State of Rajasthan. 3. Learned counsel makes a limited prayer that the respondent – authority be directed to decide the said application at the earliest. 4. Taking note of the said limited submission and without delving into merits of the matter, respondent No.2 – Superintendent, Central Jail, Jaipur, is directed to consider and decide the application dated 16.03.2026 (Annexure-5) filed by the petitioner, expeditiously and not later than one month from the date of submission of certified copy of this order. 5.
