It is the contention of the petitioner that lands bearing Sy.No.41, Block-VII, measuring 2 acres situated at Rajanahalli Village, Kasaba Hobli, Alur Taluk, Hassan District, appears to have been subsequently granted in favour of respondent No.5 in the year 1996. The RTC is also made out in the name of respondent No.5. Nevertheless, it is also the contention of the petitioner that her name too is entered in the revenue records. 4. The prayer in the writ petition is to issue a writ of mandamus directing respondent No.4-Tahsildar to consider the representations at Annexures-J and K dated 24.02.2025 and 06.08.2025 given by the petitioner to ensure that there is no interference at the hands of respondent No.5 in the lands in question. 5. In the considered opinion of this Court, such a direction cannot be issued to the Tahsildar. If the name of respondent No.5 is entered in the revenue records as found at Annexure-G, then the petitioner will have to raise - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:7789 WP No. 3869 of 2026 her challenge before the competent authority in a manner known to law. Such representations cannot be considered by the Tahsildar. 6. With these observations, the petition stands disposed of reserving liberty to the petitioner to approach the competent authority in accordance with law to redress her grievance.
