Dey, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. D. P. Goswami, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State of Assam. 2. This is an application filed under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, for grant of pre-arrest bail to the petitioner, Sanjay Goel in respect of Special NDPS Case No.12/2024, pending in the Court of the learned Special Judge, Kokrajhar, Assam. 3. The petitioner, Sanjay Goel has been shown as an absconder in the Charge-Sheet. Page No.# 2/2 The petitioner apprehends that upon his appearance before the learned Court below, he may be remanded to custody. 4. The petitioner submits that he is no way connected with the offence alleged against him and, therefore, intends to contest the case before the learned Trial Court. 5. I have heard the submissions made by the learned counsel of both sides. 6. This Court is of the opinion that since the petitioner is interested in facing the trial he deserves to be given an adequate opportunity to that effect. Therefore, his prayer is allowed. 7. The petitioner, Sanjay Goel is directed to appear before the Court of the learned Special Judge, Kokrajhar in connection with the Special NDPS Case No.12/2024 within a period of 15 (fifteen) days from today and on his appearance, he shall be released on bail of Rs.25,000/- with a surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Special Judge, Kokrajhar, Assam. 8.
