GP MUNCIPAL ADMN AND URBAN DEV AP 3 The Court made the following Order:- The present petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondent No.2 to consider the petitioner’s request for grant of permission to dig a borewell in the petitioner’s premises. 2. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioner had earlier lodged a complaint under the BGRS scheme and an endorsement was issued thereon. It is further submitted that the Tahsildar concerned is the competent authority for granting permission for digging a borewell under the applicable provisions of the WALTA Act. 3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is willing to submit a fresh representation before the competent authority seeking permission to dig the borewell in her property. 4. In view of the above submissions, the writ petition is disposed of, leaving it open to the petitioner to submit a fresh representation to the competent authority under the provisions of the WALTA Act. On receipt of such representation, the competent authority shall consider and dispose of the same, in accordance with WALTA Act. There shall be no order as to costs.
