Mr. Chitrarth Kandpal, learned Brief Holder for the State.
2. By means of the present writ petition, the petitioner seeks quashing of the impugned FIR dated 29.05.2026, registered as Case Crime No. 00218 of 2026, under Section 3/5 read with Section 11 of the Uttarakhand Protection of Cow Progeny Act, at Police Station Kaliyar Sharif, District Haridwar.

Learned counsel further submits that, from a bare perusal of the FIR, no specific role has been attributed to the present petitioner. It is also contended that a co-accused, having an identical role, has already been granted relief by this Court.

7. In view of the aforesaid, the present writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to the petitioner to surrender before the court concerned within a period of one month from today. In the event the petitioner surrenders within the aforesaid period, he shall not be arrested pursuant to the impugned FIR dated 29.05.2026, provided he continues to cooperate with the investigation.
