The petitioner through the medium of present petition has challenged order dated 16.12.2025, issued by respondent No.4, whereby he has been placed under suspension. 2. Heard and considered. 3. It appears that the petitioner was engaged as a contractual employee in the Health Department of Government of Jammu & Kashmir and posted at District Hospital, Shopian. As per the terms of his engagement his contract was valid for a period of one financial year upto 31.03.2023, which was subject to renewal of the contract, depending upon the continuation of the Scheme and the performance of the candidate. It seems that vide impugned order dated 16.12.2025 the petitioner was placed WP(C) No.763/2026 2 | P a g e under suspension on account of the fact that a criminal case was registered against him. 4. Learned counsel for the respondents has submitted that engagement of the petitioner as contractual employee has come to an end on 31.03.2026 and his contract has not been renewed thereafter. This position is not being disputed by learned counsel for the petitioner. 5. In view of the above, the instant petition has been rendered infructuous. The same is disposed of accordingly.
