Bathe Gowda K.V., learned counsel accepts notice for respondent Nos.1 and 2. 2. Petitioner is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: "WHEREFORE, it is prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue a writ of mandamus directing the Respondent to pay the entire amount of Rs.4,07,600/- with interest @ 24% per annum w.e.f., 31.03.2022 and award costs towards the litigations expenditures, to meet the end of justice. Further any appropriate order or orders be passed in the circumstances of the case." 3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner being a lawyer engaged by the respondents to represent the - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:10304 WP No. 743 of 2026 respondents in various cases had submitted his bills which have not been paid despite a lapse of more than four years. 4. The submission of Sri Bathe Gowda B.V., learned counsel for respondent Nos.1 and 2 on instructions is that the certified copies of the judgments and/or orders passed in the matters as regards which, bills have been raised have not been furnished and as such, the bills could not be processed. If the said certified copies are furnished, his submission is that the bills should be processed and payments should be made within a period of thirty days of the documents being furnished. 5. Heard Sri Puttaraja C.P., learned counsel for the petitioner, Sri Bathe Gowda K.V., learned counsel for the respondents and perused papers. 6. The only issue in the present matter is as regards the furnishing of the certified copies by a panel counsel to the BBMP, who had engaged him. In today's day and age, when all the judgments and orders are uploaded onto the website of the High Court, as also on the website of the - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:10304 WP No. 743 of 2026 website of the District Courts, I am of the considered opinion that there would be no purpose served by requiring the counsel to furnish a certified copy. Since a printout of the said orders and judgments could be furnished with self-attestation as a true copy, in the event of respondents having any doubt about the said order, the QR code available on the said judgment could be scanned and verification made by the concerned officer. 7. In that view of the matter, reserving liberty to the petitioner to furnish printouts of the downloaded copy of the orders of judgments self-certified by the petitioner, the petition stands disposed of directing the respondents to consider the bills submitted by the petitioner and pass necessary orders within a period of thirty days of such submission of the self-attested printouts.
